Synopsis of Previous Council action:
None.
Recommended motion:
1. That a finding be made that the vacation of the alley, west of
"H" Street and south of Esperanza Street, is needed for health and
safety reasons.
2. That Plan No. 7253, for the vacation of the alley west of "H"
Street and south of Esperanza Street be approved.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
A request has been received for a portion of the alley,
west of nHn Street and south of Esperanza Street, to be
vacated. This request was submitted by the owners of 66%
of adjoining properties.
This alley is deadended at the freeway, and only pro-
vides access to abutting properties. However, the alley
presents a continual maintenance problem in that it is
prone to illegal dumping. Vacation of the alley would
allow for this area to be incorporated into the adjoining
parcels.
The Petitioner has deposited $200 as the first half
of the designated fee of $400. After all adjoining property
owners have been notified, the Petitioner will be allowed
to review the responses, if any, and determine if he wishes
to pay the second half of the fee and proceed to a public
hearing.
We recommend that the plan be approved and a finding
made that the vacation of this alley is needed for health
and safety reasons.
