STAFF REPORT
The proposal is to vacate a portion of an alley located west of
"H" Street and south of Esperanza Street as shown on Attachments'
"A" and "B". The City will reserve a 16 foot easement for ingressl
egress purposes where the existing alley is located. This will
ensure that all parcels have access to "H" Street and are not land-
locked. The purposed street vacation is not in conflict with the
Land Use or Circulation Elements of the General Plan.
At its meeting of June 4, 1987, the Environmental Review Counnittee
determined that this project would not have a significant effect
on the environment and a Negative Declaration was proposed. The
proposed Negative Declaration received a 10 day public review
period from June 26, 1987 through July 6, 1987, and no comments
were received pertaining to the environmental determination.
The Mayor and Council will consider the required health and safety
findings at their September 21, 1987 meeting, prior to this pro-
posed action.
