Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
July 6th, 2009 - Mayor and Common Council set a budget workshop date for July 28th at 4:00 p.m. in
the EDA Board Room to review FY 2009/2010 City and Economic Development Agency budgets.
June 29, 2009 - Common Council and Community Development Commission adopted continuing
budget resolutions.
Recommended Motion:
That a budget workshop be set for August 4th, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Economic Development
Agency Boardroom to review the Fiscal Year 2009/20 I 0 City and Economic Development Agency
Budgets.

STAFF REPORT
Subiect:
Set Budget Workshop Date for FY 2009/2010 budget.
Backl!round:
At the June 29th budget workshop, two separate resolutions were adopted authorizing the City of
San Bernardino and the Economic Development Agency to establish continuing budget
resolutions.
An additional workshop is required to allow the Council to continue its consideration of the City
of San Bernardino and Economic Development Agency's final budgets for the remainder of FY
2009/2010. On July 6th, a budget workshop was scheduled for July 28th. However, at the July
20th Council Meeting, the Mayor and Council directed the City Manager's Office to find an
alternate date, due to a scheduling conflict. Council Office staff polled the Council members and
staff is proposing that the new budget workshop be scheduled for August 4, 2009.
The meeting will be held in the EDA Board Room at 4:00 p.m. and will be televised.

Recommendation:
That the Mayor and Common Council set a FY 2009/2010 budget workshop date.
