STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-34
The proposed purchase is for Two - Four Wheel Drive Vehicles to be utilized in
daily operations by the Emergency Services Department. At the request of the
department and in co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent, appropriate
specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids
were publicly opened and declared on April 23, 19B7. The following is a summary
of bids received.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Equipment Superintendent and
the Director of Emergency Services who concur, that the bid of Grand Chevrolet,
one of four bid responses out of eight solicited, meets specifications and re-
quirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract.
Th(! equipment is in the 1986/87 Budget. The amount of $29.000 was budgeted.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO GRAND
,CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF TWO - FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES
3 TO BE UTILIZED BY THE EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATION NO. F-87-34.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Grand Chevrolet is the lowest and best bidder for the
8 furnishing and delivery of Two - Four Wheel Drive Vehicles in accordance
9 with Bid Specification F-87-34 for the total amount of $26,567.46; pursuant
10 to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed
11 to issue a purchase order for said Two - Four Wheel Drive Vehicles to said
12 lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance
13 of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are
14 hereby rejected.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
16 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
