STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-B7-31
The proposed contract is for Security Guard Service for thelCentral Library. At
the request of the City Librarian appropriate specifications were prepared, pub-
lished and furnished to area suppliers of this service. The bid was publicly
opened and declared on April 17. 1987. The following is a summary of bids received.

The total figures are based on the schedule of hours requiring Guard Service as
conveyed in the technical section of bid specifications. This bid could be more
or less depending on the, needs of the City Librarian.
The City Librarian has reviewed the bid and concurs that the bid of Conmercial
Security Alliance meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore

,RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO COMMERCIAL
SECURITY ALLIANCE FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF SECURITY SERVICE TO BE
UTILIZED BY THE CENTRAL LIBRARY IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION NO.
F-87-31. I
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
I
Commercial Security Alliance is the lowest and best bidder
for the furnishing and delivery of security service in accordance with Bid
Specification F-87-31 for the total amount of $21,062.16; pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to
issue a purchase order for said security service to said lowest and best
bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of' a purchase
order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby
rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof. held on the
