STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-40
The proposed contract is for Topping and Trimming of sixty-five (65) Eucalyptus Trees
on Valencia Ave and on David Way. At the request of the Public Services Department/
Street Tree Division. specifications were prepared. published and furnished to area
vendors.
Six vendors were solicited. four vendors did not respond. the following is a summary
of bids received.

Bids received have been reviewed by the Director of Public Services. who concurs that
the bid of Expert Tree Services meets specifications.
It is therefore recommended the bid of Expert Tree Service be awarded the contract.
The amount of $11.635.00 is included in the 1986/87 Budget for this tree trimming.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO EXPERT TREE
SERVICE FOR TOPPING AND TRIMMING SIXTY-FIVE (65) EUCALYPTUS TREES ON VALENCIA
AVE AND DAVID WAY TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT/STREE TREE
DIVISION IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-AO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~~YOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Expert Tree Service is the lowest and best bidder for the
toppi I1g and trimmi ng of s i xty- fi VE: eucalyptus trees in accordance with Bi d
Specification F-87-40 for the total amount of $11,635.00; pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorizEJ and directed to
issue a purchase order for said topping and trimming of sixty-five eucalyptus
trees to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon
the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other Jid~
therefor are hereby rejected.
