The Legislative Review Committee r~quested that the Parking Place Commission
review and determine the appropria~e amount of IN-LIEU payment needed for
parking spaces within the Central ity Parking District. Currently established
at $3,000 per space, this annual r view is required by the San Bernardino
Municipal Code, Sec. 19.56.290 C.
The Parking Place Commission has met and reviewed the Staff proposal of the
cost for providing a parking space from within the Central City Parking District
and it has been determined that the cost to be approx. $10,000.
Such cost is determined to be appropriate for the Fair Market Value of land in
the area and the proposed resolution should be adopted.
Adoption of this resolution is essential in order to advise all developers of the
potential cost for parking in the Downtown Area, and to comply with SBMe referenced
above.
