The proposed contract is for furnishing and installing approximately 620 square
yards of carpet on the basement level of the City Hall.
At the request of the Public Buildings Department, appropriate specifications
were prepared. published and sent to area vendors. fifteen vendors were solicited.
seven did not respond. two returned "NO BID" response. six bids were received.
The following is a summary of bids received.

CITY HALL tH ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-44.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Nickell Flooring is the lowest and best bidder for the .
furnishing and delivery of carpet installation in the basement of City Mall
in accordance with Bid Specification F-87-44 for the total amount of
$10,160.00; pursuant to this determination. the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purhcase order for said carpet installation .
to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall Dnly be effective upon the
issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids
therefor are hereby rejected.
