STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-43
The proposed contract is for furnishing and installing approximately 1.081 square
yards of carpeting on the Fifth Floor of the City Hall.
At the request of the Public Buildings Department. appropriate specifications were
prepared. published and sent to area vendors. fifteen vendors were solicited. seven
did not respond, two submitted "NO BID" response and six bids were received..
The following is a summary of bids received.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN, BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO NICKELL
FLOORING FOR THE FURNISHING. DELI~ERY AND INSTALLATION OF CARPETING ON
THE FIFTH FLOOR OF THE CITY HALL 10 BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS
DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID,.$PECIFICATION F-B7-43.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Nickell Flooring is the lowest and best bidder for the
furnishing and delivery of carpet installation on the Fifth Floor of Ci~y
Hall in accordance with Bid Specification F-B7-43 for the total amount of
$17.750.00; pursuant to this determination. the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said carpet installation
to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the
issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids
therefor are hereby rejected.
