The proposed purchase is for Vertical Blinds throughout City Hall under the City H~ll
Renovation program. At the request of the Superintendent of Public Buildings, I
appropriate specificiations were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers.
Bid was publicly opened and declared on May 15, 1987. The following is a summary of
bids received.

Specifications have been reviewed with the Superintendent of Public Buildings who
concurs the bld of Quality Carpets meets specifications and requirements. It is
therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. An'estimate of $50,000
was anticipated and the funding source ;s the Public Facility renovations fund.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AWARDING A BID TO DUALITY CARPETS
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF VERTICAL BtINDS TO BE UTILIZED BY CITY HALL
IN ACCORDANCE ~ITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-41(
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON qOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
ARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Quality Carpets is the lowest and best bidder for the furnish-
ing and delivery of Vertical Blinds in ~ccordance with Bid Specification f-87-41 .
for the total amount of $39.511.74; pursuant to this determination. the '
urchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order
or said Vertical Blinds to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only
e effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and ,
