RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 11831 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . .
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENTS OF A MAYOR PRO TEMPORE. ."; AND
ESTABLISHING SUCH APPOINTMENTS FOR THE 1987-1988 FISCAL YEAR
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1987.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Resolution No. 11831 Section 1 is hereby
8 amended to read as follows:

"SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 36 of the Charter of the
10 City of San Bernardino, the Mayor and Common Council hereby
11 establish a permanent procedure for the appointment of a Mayor
12 Pro Tempore to be effective and operative 'in case of vacancy, or
13 if by reason of absence from the City, or sickness, or from any
14 cause, the Mayor is unable to perform the duties of his office.'
15 In such cases the rotating appointment of a Mayor Pro Tempore for
16 the 1987-1988 fiscal year shall be automatically made for each
17 month in advance by the adoption of this resolution in accordance
18 with the following schedule:
19 July, 1987 Council Member Seventh Ward
20 August, 1987 Counc il Member First Ward
21 September, 1987 Council Member Second Ward
22 October, 1987 Counc il Member Third Ward
23 November, 1987 Council Member Fourth Ward
24 December, 1987 Counc il Member Fifth Ward
25 January, 1988 Council Member Sixth Ward
26 February, 1988 Counc il Member Seventh Ward
27 March, 1988 Council Member First Ward
