I am requesting this department be allowed to hire a Summer Lunch Monitor
on the Supplemental Agenda with an effective hiring date of July 7, 1987,
This is necessary due to the resignation of one staff in this classification
on June 18, 1987 after the deadline for new Personnel Actions. It is
essential that this position be filled as soon as possible in order to
allow for maximum monitoring of the Summer Lunch Program. The city will be
administering and monitoring 28 lunch sites for compliance with USDA
regulation, Failure to adequately monitor and comply could result in a loss
in reimbursement for lunches. The hiring and placement of this replacement
is critical to adequate monitoring.
