CI9t' OF SAN BERNARoQO - REQUIOT FOR COUNCIL Ac:lON STAFF REPORT The Engineering Division received a petition, signed by 96 GTE employees, to remove the two-hour parking restriction on the east side of "E" Street, between 7th and 8th Streets. The termination of a parking lease agreement between a number of GTE employees and a nearby used car business increased the demand for on-street unrestricted parking. Representatives of GTE and Pacific Savings & Loan were invited to attend the Mayor's Traffic Safety Advisory Committee meeting of 5-13-87. The east side of the block is shared by GTE and Pacific Savings. The management of Pacific Savings & Loan expressed the need for some restricted 2-hour parking adjacent to their property. The committee recommended the removal of the 2-hour parking restric- tion, from 200 feet north of 7th Street to 8th Street. This arrange- ment will provide an additional eight on-street unrestricted parking spaces, leaving the 2-hour parking restriction on the four parking spaces south of the Pacific Savings driveway. 6-15-87 75-0264 :) c o t"'\ ...,; ) \.. , STREET ~~ ~. ~ z . 11'.. _r -r T T 8.. 22' ~ r T T , ( D/w ~~iD CU~B j ~ ~ ctJ,f8 It \ .. ~ ..
