STAFF REPORT
The Engineering Division was requested to investigate the traffic
conditions at the intersection of Ninth Street and Del Rosa Drive.
The primary concern was the additional traffic generated by the
recent extension of Del Rosa Drive between Baseline Street and
Ninth Street.
Both Ninth Street and Del Rosa Drive are classified as minor
arterials, carrying 10,467 and 6090 vehicles per day, respectively.
There have been three (3) traffic accidents during the past six
months.
The traffic condition was discussed at the Mayor's Traffic Safety
Advisory Committee meeting. The Committee s~bseqaently recommended
the installation of a 4-Way stop at the subject intersection to
improve traffic safety.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AlmNDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2482 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . . . DrSIGNATING CERTAIN
STREET INTERSECTIONS \~HERE A STOP IS REQUIRED . . ."; AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON NINTH STREET AT ITS INTER
SECTION WITH DEL ROSA DRIVE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COl1MON COUNCIL OF 'rHE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2482, which designates certain
street intersections where a stop is required, Section One is
amended by adding thereto Subsection (19.35) to read as follows:
"(19.35) For the purpose of stopping traffic entering
DEI, ROSA DRIVE at its intersection \~ith the following streets:
Ninth Street"
