The Association has non-profit status and, as such, is requesting a waiver of City fees in connection with the event. These fees include: Department Fees Traffic Engineering: $ 859 for barricade placement/removal Police 2,412 for personnel/vehicles/equipment Public Services $ 941 for refuse collection/street sweeping TOTAL $4,212 Non waivable fees and refundable security deposits: Traffic Engineering $1,150 barricade deposit $1,150 TOTAL Attached is the organization's budget for"the event including estimated expenses and anticipated donations and in kind services. This year costs for police services, and barricades, to be provided by the City of San Bernardino, have been estimated to be $2000 dollars We are again planning to have over 3000 children participating in the parade, and over 10,000 people attending the parade. This event is filmed live and re-broadcasts at least 3 different times, The YMCA of San Bernardino is asking that the City to waive the fees so that we may be able to continue letting all kids participate in the parade for free.
