STAFF REPORT
The attached Resolution confirms the Assessment Roll and approves the
Assessment Diagram Map No. 991 for the maintenance of landscaping in portions of
Verdemont Drive, Garfield Avenue and Ohio Avenue, between Olive and Palm Avenues.
On July 17, 1989, Resolution of Intention No. 89-253 was adopted which
instituted formal proceedings to form an assessment district in the Verdemont
Drive and Olive Avenue area for the maintenance of landscaping.
All the requirements of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code were fulfilled,
and on August 21, 1989, the Resolution ordering work was adopted. The
charges for the establishment of the district total $2,826.10 which will be
paid from the up-front money deposited by the Developer.
It is recommended that the attached resolution be adopted.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING ASSESSMEt\T
ROLL NO. 991 FOR TIlE MAINTENANCE OF FUTURE LANDSCAPING IN PORTIONS
OF VERDEKONT DRIVE, GARFIELD AVENUE AND OHIO AVENUE IN TIlE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, AND APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM MAP NO.991.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino on July 17, 1989 adopted its Resolution of Intention No.
89-253
to order the work described therein to be done under the provisions of
Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS ,
the Mayor and Common Council on July 17,
1989,
approved
the
Engineer's Report on the
proposed assessment
district,
which report includes a proposed assessment roll
and
Assessment District Map relative to Assessment District No.991; ~d
WHEREAS ,
incidental
expenses totaling $2,826.10 have been
incurred for the establishment of the district, which must be spread
over the individual parcels of said assessment district, the City has
computed and set forth in attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated herein
by reference the first year assessment for each individual parcel, all of
which are as set forth therein, is hereby declared to be the Assessment
District No.
991 Roll for 1989-90 for the Verdemont and Olive Area
Landscape Maintenance District.
NOW, TIlEREFORE, TIlE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find
and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the
parcels of land within Assessment District No. 991 are correctly set forth
on Assessment Roll No. 991 for the fiscal year 1989-90, Verdemont and
Olive Area Landscape Maintenance District, designated as Exhibit "A" for
total costs of establishing the district which Exhibit is attached hereto
and is incorporated herein by reference, and the Mayor and Common Council

do hereby confirm said assessments.
SECTION 2. That Assessment Diagram Map No. 991, on file in
the office of the City Clerk, is hereby approved.
