Dear Ms. Clark:
This letter serves as the request by Jim Clark, General Building
Inspector, to have the Mayor and City Council review allegations
of inproprieties in the Civil Service practice in regards to the
filling of a Code Compliance Officer position by James Richardson
in 1987.
.
Roger DeFratis, Acting Personnel Director, determined that this
matter was not grievable. (January 20, 1988).
The City Attorney's office has advised the Civil Service
Commission that it lacks jurisdiction to hear the matter as well.
Therefore, Mr. Clark is left without any other avenue of redress
except to the Mayor and Council - or the courts.
