F-89-26
The proposed pur.chase is for one (1) each truck and rotati ng derri ck
(pole cat) to be utilized in daily operations by the Public Buildings
Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and declared on March 14, 1989.
The following is a summary of Bids received.

Eight (8) suppliers of this commodity were solicited. Three (3) valid
bids were received. There were five (5) no bids. This is replacement
equipment for unit #637.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Superintendent of
Public Buildings and the Fleet Manager who concur that the Bid of George
Chevrolet meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the Bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding
is in the 1988/89 budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GEORGE
CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE (1) EACH TRUCK AND ROTATING
DERRICK (POLE CAT>, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS DEPARTMENT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-89-26.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That George Chevrolet is the lowest and best responsible
bidder for the furnishing and delivery of one (1) each truck and rotating
derrick (pole cat) in accordance with Bid Specification F-89-26 for the total
amount of $71,856.34; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is
hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said, one (1) each
truck and rotating derrick (pole cat) to said lowest and best responsible
bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase
Order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor are hereby
rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
