Synopsis of Previous Council action:
4-24-87 -- Resol uti on No. 87-129, adopted by the Mayor and Common Counci 1,
confirmed the Engineer's Report and confirmed the assessments on 20
parcels in various locations in the City for the construction of a
combination of either curbs, gutters, sidewalks and/or paving and
were to be assessed the cost of the improvements over a period of
three years at 7:1; interest per annum on the unpaid balance,
.Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE
1989-90 ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 1984-1 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT UNDER
CHAPTER 27 OF THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911.

construction was to be commenced by February 3, 1985; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 27 of
the Improvement Act of 1911, the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of San Bernardino did on the 17th day of December, 1984,
order the construction of certain improvements by property owners

WHEREAS, the said construction was not commenced by
said date and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer caused
said work to be done; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-129, the Mayor and Common
Council declared that all of the properties listed in the
Engineer's Report that remained unpaid for five (5) days from the
date of said Resol ution would be assessed for the costs as listed
in said Engineer's Report over a period of three years until the
said sums wi th interest at the rate of 71 per annum on the unpaid
balance are paid in full; and
WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling
$9,477.82, which sets forth the individual assessments to be
1 ev1ed on each of the parcel s of land wi thi n Chapter 27 Project
No. 1984-1 for the fiscal year 1989-90, including interest.

NOW THEREFORE. THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, That the Mayor and Common Council d~ hereby
find and determine that the costs to be levied against the par-
cels of land within Chapter 27 Project No. 1984-1 for the fiscal
year 1989-90. designated as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
by reference. are correctly set forth and do hereby confirm said
assessment.

SECTION 2, That pursuant to Section 5893 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. the City
Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this Resolution and a list
of the unpaid assessments for 1989-90 including interest. to be
transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual
assessments be placed on the subject property tax bills for
collection together with all other property taxes.
