I have made arrangements to have Dr. otto Remick, Interim
Chancellor at San Bernardino Valley College, come to Monday's
Council meeting for the purpose of intrOducing to the Mayor
and Council, Dr. stuart Bundy, newly-appointed Chancellor of
San Bernardino Valley College.
Dr. Remick was delighted to be invited to Monday's Council
meeting and he also looks forward to the courtesy visit he
and Dr. Bundy will be giving you on Friday, July 21.

Manuel Calderon, Mexican Consul

The following is provided as backup information for Sr.
Calderon whom you have invited to the July 17th Council
Meeting.
Although Sr. Calderon has been here for slightly over a year,
he has never been formally introduced to the Mayor & Council.
His office serves nearly one-half million Hispanics from
Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and Clark County,
Nevada, by providing them with:
1) Mexican passports to go to other countries
2) Issuing military cards for Mexican citizens between
the ages of 18 and 40, and
3) Issuing citizenship I.D. cards for legal residents
In addition to providing services to the Hispanic population,
his office also serves the general public primarily with the
issuance of visas to Mexico.
Sr. Calderon is a native of Mexico city (one of 14 children)
and he and his wife have two children, a nine-year-old
daughter and five-year-old son.
You will be presenting Sr. Calderon with a key to the City
which Lorraine will have for you to present.
