The existing private sewer is subject to back-up and overflow. Findings for health and safety have been made for this project and the City has secured an easement for the sewer line across private property. Construction in an easement was pro- posed for two major reasons. First, the existing homes are served from the rear to the private sewer and connection at this location would be easy to make. Second, there is a substantial cost savings (estimated at over $14,000) by constructing in an easement. Listed below is an estimate for the total project cost: Construction Cost Engineering & Inspection (W.O. 1827) Sub-Total Contingencies (I4%) Total $ 17,660.00 2,850.00 $ 20,510.00 790.00 $ 21,300.00 Funds have been allocated from the CDBG contingency fund in an amount of $21,300.00 for this work.
