ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
15.56.020 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE
REQUIREMENT OF GARAGES AND CARPORTS WHEN A STRUCTURE IS TO BE
REHABILITATED.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 19.56.020 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code is amended by addinq Subsection H to read as
follows:
"H. Whenever a residential structure is substantially
rehabilitated; repaired or remodeled, and there is .vidence
that a qaraqe or carport once existed on the property, then ~e
qaraqe or carport shall be repaired or constructed in compli-
ance with current applicable provisions of the code. The
replacement qaraqe or carport shall accommodate not less than
the same number of automobiles as the oriqinal structure. This
requirement shall not be applicable where there is less than
ten feet of access from the street to the qaraqe or carport."
