STAFF REPORT
In May of 1986, Chapter 5.42, Outdoor Entertainment, was
added, and Chapter 12.56, Parades, was amended in the San
Bernardino Municipal Code. These re$olutions establish the
fees to be charged by the City.
These fees are based on the recommen9ations of the Public
Services Department and the Police Department.

1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ESTABLISHING A
SCHEDULE OF FEES CONCERNING THE CONDUCT OF PARADES WITHIN THE
3 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Parade Permit ADDlication Fee. Pursuant to
7 Section 12.56.040 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, a
8 nonrefundable fee to be deposited with the City in an amount
9 intended to cover the cost of process~ng a parade permit
10 application is established at $75.00.

SECTION 2. Clean-UD DeDosit Fee.
A. Pursuant to Section 12.56.120 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code, a clean-up deposit shall be required by the
sponsor of a parade involving the service of food or beverages,

erection of structures, use of horses or other large animals, or
water and aid stations; $150.00 if horses or other large animals
are not used; $300.00 if horses or other large animals are used;
and, $100.00 for barricades set up.
19 B. The clean-up deposit shall be returned after the parade
20 if the area used for the parade has been cleaned and restored to

the same condition as existed prior to the parade.
C. If the property and right-of-way used by the parade has
not been properly cleaned and resto:ed, the sponsor of the parade
shall be billed for the actual cost to the City for clean-up and
restoration, and the clean-up deposit shall be applied toward
26 payment of the bill. Should the coits exceed the clean-up

deposit, the difference shall be due and payable to the City.
Any excess of the depgsit shall be refunded to the sponsor.
