October 15, 1986 City Clerk City of San Bernardino 399 North D St. San Bernardino, CA 92401 To Whom It May Concern: The Colton Joint Unified School District is submitting to your office information on builder's fees relative to school impaction and the amount collected by the District during the implementation of your City ordinance. The District would like to continue collecting the same school fee structure in accordance with your City ordinance until such time that the District begins levying builder's fees in accordance with AB 2926. AB 2926 enables the District to levy fees as of January 1, 1987, in the amount of $1.50 per square foot of covered or enclosed space in the case of residential development, or the amount of $.25 per square foot of covered or enclosed space in the case of commercial or industrial development. The District is still impacted and will continue to seek avenues to mitigate such school overcrowding.
