STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-B7-7
The proposed purchase is for 5 each 30 cubic yard roll-off units (Category I) and
100 each 3 cubic yard refuse containers (Category II), to be utilized in daily oper-
ations by the Public Services/Refuse Department. At the request of the department
and in co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent, appropriate specifications
were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. The following is a sum-
mary of bids received.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Director of Public Services and
Equipment Superintendent who concur, that the bid of Refuse Compactor Service meets
specifications and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted
for contract. The amount of $23,000. for Category I and $40,000. for Category II was
included in the 1986/87 budget for this equipment.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO REFUSE
CONTAINER SERVICE FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ROLL-OFF & CONTAINERS
CONSISTING.OF: CATEGORY I - 5 EACH - 30 CU8IC YARD ROLL-OFF, CATEGORY II -
100 EACH - 3 CUBIC YARD REFUSE CONTAINERS TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SER-
VICES/REFUSE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICA,ION NO. F-B7-7.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Refuse Container Service is the lowest responsible bid-
der for the furnishing and delivery of roll-off & refuse containers in
accordance with Specification No. F-B7-7, consisting of 5 each of 30 cubic
yard roll-off at a total cost of $12,746.50, 100 each of 3 cubic yard refuse
containers at a total cost of $29,B92.00 for the total amount of $42,63B.50;
pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to
issue a purchase order for said roll-off & containers to said lowest res-
ponsible bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a
purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are
hereby rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
