At the request of the department and in co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent, appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. The amount of $23,000. for Category I and $40,000. for Category II was included in the 1986/87 budget for this equipment. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO REFUSE CONTAINER SERVICE FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ROLL-OFF & CONTAINERS CONSISTING.OF: CATEGORY I - 5 EACH - 30 CU8IC YARD ROLL-OFF, CATEGORY II - 100 EACH - 3 CUBIC YARD REFUSE CONTAINERS TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SER- VICES/REFUSE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICA,ION NO. F-B7-7. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER- NARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Refuse Container Service is the lowest responsible bid- der for the furnishing and delivery of roll-off & refuse containers in accordance with Specification No. F-B7-7, consisting of 5 each of 30 cubic yard roll-off at a total cost of $12,746.50, 100 each of 3 cubic yard refuse containers at a total cost of $29,B92.00 for the total amount of $42,63B.50; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for said roll-off & containers to said lowest res- ponsible bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby rejected.
