, C~T{ OF SAN BERNAR~~O - REQ~ST FOR COUNCIL A~ION
STAFF REPORT
A request was received to vacate a Portion of Harriman Place, East of Hospitality
Lane from the owners who adjoin the portion to be vacated relative to a proposed
construction. This request represents 100% of those owners who adjoin the street.
All of the interested City Department Heads and the Utility COmpanies were notified
of the proposal on August 22, 1986 with a reply due on September 19, 1986. The
Utility companies have responded and a reservation for public utility easements was
requested.
The Planning Department has responded and indicates that (" ... the proposed vacation
... was recommended for approval.").
The City has acquired a right-of-way easement for the extension of Harriman Place,
from its present terminus to Orchard Drive, el iminating the need for the existing
cul-de-sac.
The proponents have been notified by letter on September 18, 1986 of the requested
reservations and have responded with notification for us to proceed. The required
$400.00 fee has been paid and it is, therefore, recommended that favorable consi-
deration be given to the requested vacation.
The Resolution of Intention, which sets a protest date of November 17, 1986, has
been attached hereto for your action also.
