ST.t\FF REPORT
A salary increase of $.25 per hour for the Security Officers
of the Downtown Parking District was presented to che Parking
Place Commission and was recommended for approval to the
Mayor and Council during the 86-87 budget process.
The increase was approved by the Council and has been re-
flected on the assessment rolls. The cost of the increase
will be approximately $800.00 annually.
The need for the increase is required to compete with salar-
ies that are paid for Mall security because both functions
draw from the same employment resources, i.e., off duty or
retired law enforcement officers or active reserve police
officers.
