Allocation of $65,000 from Redevelopment Agency Funds approved,
to finance cost of sandblasting, painting, patching and resigning
3-level parking structure, and City Administrator directed to
work with RDA and report back concerning the funding.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened
A total of 2 bids were received.
with the two following basic bids
at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesd~y, 10-15-86.
The bid documents were set up
for preparation of the surfaces:
Basic Bid "A" - Sandblast and Sack
Basic Bid "B" - Wash and Scrape
Two alternates were included in the bid documents, as listed below,
for application of finish cost.
Alternate No. One - Apply Textured Coating
Alternate No. Two - Prime, Patch and Paint
After carefully reviewing the bids with Mr. Wayne Overstreet, Public
Buildings Superintendent, it was decided that a contract should be
awarded for Basic Bid "A" and Alternate No. Two. This combination
will provide for sandblasting and painting, at a total contract price
of $61,359.00.
A total amount of $65,000.00 is to be provided from RDA Funds, to
finance the cost of painting the structure and signs. This will
leave a balance of $3,641.00 for repainting the signs.
We recommend that a contract be awarded for Basic Bid "A" and Alter-
nate No. Two, to the low bidder.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO ALLEN D. DAVI~ PAINTING CONTRACTO~ FOR PAINTING THREE
LEVEL PARKING STRUCTURE, AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 4TH STREET AND
"E" STREEf~
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Allen D. Davis, Painting Contractor, is the
lowest responsible bidder for Painting Three-Level P~rking
Structure for Central City Mall, in accordance with Plan No.
7092, for the total sum of $61,359.00, a contract is awarded to
said bidder accordingly for Base Bid "A" and Alternate No. Two,
but such award shall be effective only upon the contract being
fully executed by the parties; all other bids therefor are
hereby rejecte~; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute said contract on behalf of the City; a copy of the
contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit 'A" and incorporated
herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length.
SECTION 2. Execution and Amendments.
This contract
and any amendments or ,modifitations thereto shall not take
effect or become operative until fully signed and executed by
the parties and no party shall be obligated hereunder until the
time of such full execution. No oral agreements, amendments,
modifications or waivers ;are intended or authorized and shall
notbe implied from any act or course of conduct of any party.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
