and Common Council (8:00 A.M.
October 15,1'86)
Shauna, on October 6 and 7, respectively, the Redevelopment Agency and the Community
Development Department received notification from the State of California Mortgage Bond
Allocation Committee (MBAl) of the City of San Bernardino's 1986 tax-exempt mortgage
revenue bond allocation (notification attached). Community Development staff was
informed that cities with a population of 250,000 or less would receive a bond
allocation of $ 10,000,000 , to be used for single or multifamily dwelling units.
The state is requirinQ that completed applications be filed with MBAC on or before
October 17, 1986. As you know, our regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and
Common Council is scheduled on October 20, 1986. I am requesting that you schedule
a special meeting of the Mayor and Common Council on October 15, 1986 at 8:00 a.m.

In accordance with new guidelines established by the
-..California Debt Limit Allocation Committee on October
1, 1986, all Notices of Intent to Issue previously
received by the Mortgage Bond Allocation Committee
(MBAC) (prior to llil/l/86) will not be honored. The
authorizing entity will now need to submit a formal
application to the MBAC. In order for your entity to
be considered for an allocation at our October 29th
MBAC meeting, it will be necessary that the applicaton
process be completed and filed with the MBAC on or
before October 17, 1986. An application packet is
enclosed for your convenience.
