There is no estimated date for his return to work. Mr. Michael S. Curry, Draftsperson, is on the eligibility list for the position of Construction Inspector. Mr. Curry was assigned to discharge the duties of Construction Inspector, by approval of the City Administrator as provided in Article 12 of the M.O.U. However, Mr. Curry has reached the limit of 60 working days stipulated in the M.O.U. Due to the exceedingly heavy workload of construction inspections, and the indefinite return of Mr. Brame to duty, it is recommended that a temporary appointment, with full benefits, for Mr. Curry to the position of Construction Inspector, be approved. This appointment will be for a period of up to 6 months, or whenever Mr. Brame returns to work. Funds to finance the cost of this temporary appointment will be derived from the salary savings realized from the position of Draftsperson, being temporarily vacated, and the vacant positions of Field Engineer, Con- struction Engineer, Survey Engineer and Engineering Aide, in the Field Section. URGENCY CLAUSE Mr. Curry's higher acting classification rate will terminate as of 10-3-86, as mandated by the M.O.U. It is essential that the temporary appointment be made at the Council Meeting of 10-6-86, if continuity of inspections is to be maintained. 75-0264
