Change Order No. Four is for the installation of four elbows into the heating/cooling duct system to move the diffusers to avoid conflict with the lighting fixtures. This change has been recommended by the architect and is deemed necessary to allow proper functioning of the heating/cooling system, The net increase in cost is $275.00, The second portion of the change order is a deduction for work performed by City contractors to secure the front door to the project and correct defective lock work. The total amount of the change order is ($81.00) and the net change in the contract is from $422,729,00 to $422,648,00, Construction of the Nicholson Park Community Center was satisfactorily completed on September 17, 1986. The contract was awarded to the low bid price of $396,215.00. Subsequent change orders brought the contract to $422,729.00 before Change Order No, Four was considered, The final contract cost is $422,648.00 including all change orders. There have been a total of nine days assessed in liquidated damages for the period between delivery of materials and the contractor's efforts to install and complete the project, Liquidated damages are assessed at $200.00 per day for a total of $1,800.00. Final contract price with all change orders and assessment of liquidated damages is $420,848.00, We recommend the work be approved and accepted, and the final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien period, 75-0264
