That the sum of $250 be allocated to the San Bernardino Area Chamber of
Commerce for the purpose of participating as a sponsor in the "Tops In Blue"
show to be held October 16, 1985, 7:30 p.m" at the National Orange Show
Pavilion in recognition of Norton Air Force Base.

Dear Mayor Wilcox:
For many years the outstanding relationship that exists between
San Bernardino Communities and Norton Air Force Base has been a
recognized fact not only locally but throughout the country, The
many organizations at Norton contribute to the posi ti ve image of
San Bernardino. and from a pragmatic point of view the economic
impact of Norton upon our area is over a bill ion dollars
annually, It is good business to be associated with a winner,
We in the San Bernardino area are now being afforded the oppor-
tunity to promote and enhance even further the goodwill and rela-
tionship with Norton by hosting a "Tops In Blue" show. As you
may know. "TOps In Blue" provided the entertainment during the
half time intermission at the 1985 Super Bowl football game,
Plans are to have the "Tops In Blue" performance in the National
Orange Show Pavilion on October 16. 1985 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone
will be invited and there can be no admission charge for mili-
tary or civilians,
My purpose in writing this letter is to obtain your support as
one of the sponsors for this October 16th event, of course. you
will be given due recognition for your support, A contribution
of $250 is the nominal amount which would put us well on the way
toward providing a first class event which reflects our continued
community involvement and spirit,
