Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Approved similar requests for travel to National and Regional meetings and conferences
pertaining to fire protection and fire prevention.
Recommended motion:
Authorization to be given to Deputy Chief Richard A. Moon to travel to Phoenix.
Arizona. to attend the joint meetin~ (Arizona. California & Nevada) of the Southern
Area Fire Equipment Research (SAFER) organization. Deputy Chief Moon is a member
of the Board of the Southern California group.

STAFF REPORT
Deputy Fire Chief Richard A. Moon is requesting authorization of
out-of-state travel to Phoenix, Arizona, from October 2 through October
5, 1986. In the past, the Council has approved similar requests for travel
to National and Regional meetings and conferences pertaining to fire
protection and fire prevention.
It is recollll1ended that authorization be given to Deputy Chief Moon to
attend the joint meeting (Arizona, California and Nevada) of the Southern
Area Fire Equipment Research (SAFER) organization. Deputy Chief Moon
is a member of the Board of the Southern California group.
Funding for travel is included in the 001-201-53310, Meetings and
Conferences account. Estimated funding requirement is $280.
