STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-86-31
The proposed contract is for furnishing condemnation guarantee reports for the
Building and Safety Department.
At the request of the department appropriate specifications were prepared, pub-
'lished and advertised. Bids were opened and publicly declared on June 27, 1986.
Twelve (12) bids were solicited, five (5) bids were received, four (4) no bid with
response.
The following is a summary of bids received:

Commonwealth Land Title
Fidelity Nat'l Insurance Co.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Superintendent of the Building and
Safety Department who concurs that the bid of Fidelity National Insurance Company meets
the specifications.
It is therefore recommended the bid of Fidelity National Insurance Co. be accepted for
contract.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO
FIDELITY NATIONAL INSURANCE CO. FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY
OF CONDEMNATION GUARANTEE REPORTS TO BE UTILIZED BY THE BUILDING
& SAFETY DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-86-31.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Fidelity National Insurance Co. is the lowest
and best bidder for the furnishing and delivery of condemnation
guarantee reports at the price of One Hundred Fifty Dollars
($150.00) each in accordance with Bid Specification F-86-31 for
the total amount not to exceed $30,000.00; pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a purchase order for said condemnation
guarantee reports to said lowest and best bidder; such award
shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by
the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby
rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino at a
