STAFF REPORT
The Pol ice Department has operated a Pol ice Community Service Office at 2656 W.
Foothill Blvd. and the lease agreement with the landlord, Mr. Willie Clark, was
approved by the Mayor and Council, Resolution #85-307.
This lease agreement expired on July 1, 1986, and renewal of the lease is requested
in order to maintain the San Bernardino Police Department's current operation.
Mr. Clark has agreed to continue the lease for one (1) year at a rental rate of
$225 per month, for a total of $2,700 per year. This represents an increase of
$25 per month over the 1985/86 rate of $200 per month.

EXECUTION OF AND RATIFYING A THIRD AMENDMENT TO LEASE WITH WILLIE
3 CLARK RElATING TO PREMISES LOCATED AT 2656 WEST FOOTHILL
BOULEVARD TO EXTEND THE TERM FOR ONE ADDITIONAL YEAR, EFFECTIVE
4 JULY 1, 1986.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a Third
Amendment to Lease, effective July 1, 1986, with Willie Clark

relating to premises located at 2656 West Foothill Boulevard,

for a one-year extension of the term, a copy of which is
attached hereto, maTked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by
reference as fully as though set forth at length.

1 THIRD AMENDMENT TO LEASE
2 (Commllnity Police Center - 2656 West Foothill Boulevard)
3 THIS THIRD AMENDMENT TO LEASE is made and entered into,
4 effective July 1, 1986, by and between the CITY OF SAN
5 BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
6 "City", and WILLIE CLARK, hereinafter referred to as "Landlord".
7 The parties hereto agree as follows:
8 1. Recitals.
9 (a) Landlord and City entered into a lease on October 15,
10 1984, a First Amendment thereto on February 5, 1985, and a Second
11 Amendment thereto on July 1, 1985, relating to the use by City of
12 certain premises located at 2656 West Foothill Boulevard in the
13 City of San Bernardino for use as a community police center or
14 other lawful public purpose.
15 (b) City and Landlord desire to amend the lease to provide
16 for a one year extension of its term.
17 2. Term.
18 The term of the lease is extended for a one-year
19 period, commencing July 1, 1986, and terminating June 30, 1987.
20 3. Other Provisions.
21 All other terms, conditions and covenants of the
22 agreement, as amended, shall remain the same and be in full force
23 and effect.
