STAFF REPORT
The City has had a contractual agreeJrent with a Rangemas~er for several years.
The Rangenas~er provides expert ins~ruction and ~raining in the use of firearm;
to City police officers and also maintains the Range for use by gun clubs and
o~her law enforcement agencies.
This year ~he Rangemas~er will also repair all police depar~lrent issued handguns.
The present Rangemaster is a Retired Police Officer and has trained himself
through attendance at schools to i.rr;:rove his expertise in ins~ruction and repair
of handguns.

EXECUTION OF A THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH EUGENE R.
4 HENRIKSEN PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT
RELATING TO POLICE FIREARMS TRAINING.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
8 authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a Third
9 Amendment to Agreement with Eugene R. Henriksen providing for a
10 one year extension of the contract relating to police firearms
11 training, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
12 and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth
13 at length.

THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
(Pol~ce Firearms Training Consultant)
THIS THIRD AME~DMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered into,
effective the 1st day of July, 1986, by and between the CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called
"City", and EUGENE R. HENRIKSEN, an individual, hereinafter
called "Consultant".
City and Consultant agree as follows:
1. Recitals.
A. City and Consultant entered into an Agreement on
February 21, 1983, a First Amendment to Agreement on July 20,
1984, and a Second Amendment to Agreement on July 1, 1985
(hereinafter collectively called "the Agreement"), relating to
consulting activities for police firearms training.
B. The parties now desire to amend tte Agreement to
provide for a one year extension of its term.
2. Term. The term of the agreement is extended for an
additional period of one year commencing July 1, 1986, and
terminating June 30, 1987.
3. Other Provisions. All other terms, conditions and
covenants of the Agreement, as amended, shall remain the same and
be in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Third
Amendment to Agreement on 1986.
