Recommended motion:
That the Acting Director of Risk Management and Emergency Services
be authorized to settle Liability Claim #86A-052, Terry Harris,
in the amount of $1,859"27.
This settlement is to be paid to the claimant's subrogee, the Auto-
mobile Club of Southern California" Settlement with the claimant
for his personal out-of-pocket expenses has already been accomplished
in the amount of $724090. The total value of the claim is $2,584.17,
which exceeds the Risk Management Division's settlement authority.

Liability Claim Settlement
86A-052
This claim is the result of a non-lnJury traffic accident
which occurred on February 13, 1986 in the 4100 block of
Mt. View Ave. A city truck towing a tree chipper pulled
from a parked position into the path of the claimant's
vehicle causing the collision_ The cause of the accident
as listed on the police report was a violation of Vehicle
Code Section 22106, unsafe starting of a parked vehicle,
by the city vehicle's driver.
