RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION 2 NO. 83-201 ENTITLED IN PART -RESOLUTION . . . MODIFYING FEES FOR . . . USES OF BUILDINGS. . .-7 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND 3 COMMON, COUNCIL TO EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS FROM FEES FOR USE OF PARK 4 FACILITIES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY 5 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 83-201 Section 2 Subsection III 7 is amended to add paragraph D to read as follows: 8 "D. The Mayor and Common Council may exempt nonprofit 9 associations or corporations organized primarily for patriotic, 10 civic betterment or charitable purposes or any local civic or 11 charitable organization from the foregoing rates and fees 12 schedule for the use of park and recreation buildings and 13 facilities upon a finding that the rental fee would create a 14 financial hardship jeopardizing the activity or event planned for 15 such use and that the activity or event will be of unusual 16 benefit to the inhabitants of the City and should be supported 17 with public funds. SECTION 3. Any person representing an association, corporation, organization or group may submit an application for exemption to the Mayor and Common Council. The form and content 7 I of such application shall be determined by the Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. The application shall be acted upon by the Mayor and Common Council at a regularly scheduled or continued meeting following the date the application is accepted as complete by the Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services.
