Dear Mr. Saenz:
At the Council Meeting held on June 2, 1986, your appeal on
the Board of Building Commissioner's Order to Abate (BBC Res. No.
1077) a public nuisance at 638 Ncirth "L" Street, was continued.
The Mayor and Common Council continued the hearing to Mon-
day, Auqust 4. 198~, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300
North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California. The purpose of the
continuance is to allow the property owner the opportunity to
submit plans and obtain building permits for the rehabilitation
of the existing facilitYl such permits to be issued within 60
days. If in fact such permits are not issued within 60 days,
the matter will come back to the Council for determination of
the abatement on that facility.
The City Attorney was directed to research the legality be-
tween the Veterans Administration and the City of San Bernardino
as it relates to abatement proceedings of Veterans Administration
owned property for consideration at the meeting of August 4.
The Council Meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.
