Racommended motion:
That Senior Recreation Supervisor Josh Carter be authorized out-of-state
travel to Hershey, PA to chaperone the California contingent to the Hershey
National Track and Field Championships, August 14 - 17, 1986.

STAFF REPORT
The Hershey's National Youth Track and Field Championships will be conducted
in Hershey, PA August 14-17. Sr. Recreation Supervisor Josh Carter has been
invited to chaperone the California contingent for this event. Mr. Carter
was the State Chairman for Hershey's this past year and coordinated the
Southern California Championships through the sponsorship of the City Park,
Recreation and Community Services Department. Hershey's provided $4,000
'for this event. All expenses for Mr. Carter will be borne by Hershey's.
The department endorses Mr. Carter's participation in this event due to the local
and national public relations value as well as Hershey's continued sponsorship
of the local track program.
