of extra work at a net increase in the contract price of $102,456.00,
from $528,063.00 to $630,519.00.

That Change Order No. Seven to the contract with Arthur Shooter
Associates, Inc. for construction of irrigation and landscaping
at Park Centre, in accordance with Plan No. 6760, be approved;
to authorize the Contractor to repair wash-outs, remove silt and
re-seed lawn areas damaged by excessive rain runoff, at an
increase in the contract price of $2,569.15 from $651,129.70 to
$653,698.85.

STAFF REPORT
The Contractor, Arthur Shooter Associates, repaired the rain caused washouts
on three different occasions. This work was beyond the scope of the contract,
but essential to the functional requirements of Park Centre. The Contractor
failed to bill the City pending discussion of the situation and approval of a
Change Order to the contract. Daily work reports and equipment charges were
not submitted until after the Mayor and Council acted on Contract Change Order
Six and authorized final payment.
SYNOPSIS OF PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION Cont.
10-07-85 -- Change Order No. Two approved to authorize payment for various
items of work and deletions at a net increase in contract price
of $77.00 from $630,519.00 to $630,596.00.
12-02-85 Change Order No. Three approved to authorize payment for various
items of work and deletions, at a net increase in contract price
of $10,249.87, from $630,596.00 to $640,845.87.
04-07-86 -- Change Order No. Four approved to authorize payment for various
items of work and deletions, at a net increase in contract price
of $2,817.00 from $640,845.87 to $643,662.87.
05-19-86 Change Order No. Five was approved to authorize the contractor
to landscape and irrigate the extended portion of the island in
Hospitality Lane, at an increase in the contract price of $7,120.00
from $643,662.87 to $650,782.87.
06-07-86 -- Change Order No. Six was approved to authorize the purchase of
Val con Hi-Flo remote control valves at a net increase cost to
the contract of $346.83 from $650,782.87 to $651,129.70. The
work performed by the contractor, in accordance with specification
No. 6760 was approved and accepted; and final payment was authorized
at the expiration of the lien period.
