STAFF REPORT
The plans for construction of Phase II-B have been prepared by the
Engineering Division and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. Phase
II extends from the existing improvements to a point approximately 630 feet to
the south of the existing improvements. A contract has been awarded to Hubbs
Equipment and Construction for the north half, Phase II-A, and work is in
progress.
Rough grading for all of Phase II is being done under the present
contract with Hubbs Equipment and Construction. Items of work to be done under
the contract for Phase II-B consists, in general, of street improvements, irri-
gation system, hydroseeding grass, sidewalks, 6' redwood benches, security
lighting and parking areas.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:

Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1413)
An amount. of $96,410 was allocated in the 1986-87 CDBG Program for
Rio Vista Park. A public hearing is scheduled for 7-21-86 at 11:00 a.m., to
consider the proposed sale of Orang~wood Park to Community Hospital for
$115,000. The total amount available from these sources is $211,410.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to
advertise for bids.
