The proposed purchase is for a one ton paramedic truck to be utilized in daily
operations by the Fire Department.
At the request of the department, appropri ate speci fi cati ons were prepared,
published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on April 26, 1988. The following is a summary of Bids received.

Twenty-two (22) vendors supplying this commodity were solicited. Six (6)
responded, three (3) no bids and three (3) valid bids
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the City Fire Chief who concurs
that the Bid of De Anza Chevrolet meets specifications and requirements. It is
therefore reconlnended that the Bid be accepted for contract. The equipment
fundi ng is in the 1987/88 budget. Account Number: 249-371-55046. Tota 1

CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF A ONE TON PARAMEDIC TRUCK IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION F-88-14.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That De Anza Chevrolet is the lowest and best bidder for the
furnishing and delivering of a one ton paramedic truck in accordance with Bid
Specification F-88-14 for a total amount of $21,974.86; pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue
a purchase order for said one ton paramedic truck to said lowest and best
bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase
order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby
rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
