The proposed purchase is for traffic street signs to be utilized in daily
operations by the Public Services/Street Department.
At the request of the department, appropri ate speci fi cati ons were prepared,
published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on April 28, 1988. The following is a summary of Bids received.

who concurs that the Bid of Safeway Signs meets specifications and
requirements. It is therefore recommended that the Bid be accepted for
contract. The equi pment fundi ng is in the 1987/88 budget. Account Number:
001-405-53232. Total Amount: $25,633.19.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO SAFEWAY SIGNS
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF TRAFFIC STREET SIGNS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATION F-88-13.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That Safeway Signs is the lowest and best bidder for the
i furnishing and delivering of traffic street signs in accordance with Bid

I Specification F-88-13 for a total amount of $25,633.19; pursuant to this
II determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue
II a purchase order for said traffic street signs to said lowest and best bidder;

i such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by
the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby rejected.
