Description) Finance: Council Notes: 75-0262 Agenda Item No. c2., c; CITY OF SAN BERtORDINO - REQUEST AR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The property involved in this transaction is City owned land located North of Belmont Avenue and East of Pine Avenue and is under the jurisdi ction of the Water Department. This dedication is related to the development of Tract I3436 and the extension of Redwood Street, Westerly from the Tract to Pine Avenue across the City owned land and for a partial cul-de-sac at the intersection of Redwood Street and Brenda Lane. The land West of the Tract was acquired by the Water Department for a future reservoir site for the 1720 foot eleva ti on zone and the land East of the Tract f s used for flood control operations and water spreading for recharge. The Water department staff met with the developers of the Tract and it was determined that in order for the developer to have two means of access to his proposed development, they must construct a street through the City property. The Water Department staff reviewed the proposed second access and recommended that the developer construct a street across the City property to Pine Avenue. The improved street will not impair the placement of a reservoir on the land at the proper e 1 eva ti on. Upon motion by Commissioner Garcia, duly seconded by Commissioner Willis, it was unanimously voted to approve in principle the proposed alignment of a pUblic street through the Wa ter Department land. The attached Resolution sets aside the land for public street purposes and dedicates same for the pub li c use. 5-17-88 75-0264 , i~ L..J \ ~ ~ , ~ "\ \tr lID en \" ~ ~ n "/1 'ill . r- - '" .. - - . .
