BID SPEC: F-89-01
The proposed contract action is for the Annual Mixed-in-Transit Concrete requirement for
the City. Specifi cati ons were prepared, pub I i shed and furni sl1ed to area suppl iers. The
bids were publicly opened and declared on March 10,1988. The following is a summary of
bids received.

While the unit price of Rancho Ready Mix CI-lOO-E-lOO is slightly higher than C.L.
Pharris the Purchasing Agent feels it's in the best advantage of the City not to split
the annual requirement order.
The Director of Public services has reviewed specifications as bid and concurs that the
bi d of Rancho Ready Mi x, one of six bi d responses out of ei ght so Ii ci ted. meets
specification and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for
contract. The funding is in the 1987/88 Budget.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO RANCHO
READY MIX FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF MIXED IN TRANSIT CONCRETE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION F-89-01.

BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That Rancho Ready Mix is the lowest and best bidder for the

furnishing and delivery of mixed in transit concrete on an as required basis

I for a one-year period, for a per cubic yard price of $42.56 including tax for

Class-520-C-2500, $44.84 including tax for Class-560-C-3250, $41.45 including
tax for Class-500-C-2500, $27.25 including tax for Class-100-E-100, all in

accordance with Specification No. F-89-01; that all other bids therefore are
hereby rejected; that the bid of Rancho Ready Mix therefor is hereby accepted;

and that the Purchasing Agent of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
