The proposed purchase is for two (2) each Clow Pumps, Model 6130 wi th
mechanical seals to replace dangerously worn pumps at Colton Lift Station. The
pumps are to be utilized in daily operations by the Public Buildings/Street
Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were prepared,
published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on April 14, 1988. The following is a summary of Bids received.

Ten (10) suppliers of this commodity were solicited. There were six (6)
responses, five (5) no bid and one (1) valid bid. Pumps are non-stocked
(original manufacturer only).
Specifi cati ons as bi d have been revi ewed with the Superi ntendent of Public
Buildings who concurs that the Bid of Lectro-mation meets specifications and
requirements. It is therefore recommended that the Bid be accepted for
contract. The equipment funding is in the 1987/8B budget. Account Number:
00l-382-53105. Total Amount: $19,403.72.

RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO LECTRO-MATION
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF TWO (2) EACH CLOW PUMPS, MODEL 6103 IN
J ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION F-88-ll.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

6 SECTION 1. That Lectro-mation is the lowest and best bidder for the
7 furnishing and delivering of two (2) each Clow Pumps, Model 6lD3 in accordance
8 with Bid Specification F-88-11 for a total amount of $19,403.72; pursuant to
9 I this determination, the PurChasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to
10 issue a purchase order for said Clow Pumps to said lowest and best bidder;
II such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by
12 the PurChasing Agent; and all other bids therefor are hereby rejected.
13 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
14 the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
