STAFF REPORT
According to the Superintendent of Recreation, John Kramer,
the position of Recreation Supervisor - Aquatics was estab-
lished as a part time seasonal position in lieu of a full
time Recreation Supervisor - Youth Sports/Aquatics position
last year as part of a reorganization plan. The position is
budgeted in the Recreation Division part time budget. It
will be filled from mid-May through mid-September, 40 hours
per week in June, July and August, and 20 hours per week the
remainder of the time.
This position will recruit and select summer aquatics staffl
assign and schedule staff at 5 City pools and the Cal State
pooll plan, o,rganize and conduct aquatics trainingl and
conduct all other necessary tasks related to the admin-
istration of the summer aquatics program in the City.
The recommended hourly rate is $12.5654, equivalent to step 1
for the full time Recreation Supervisor classification.
