Backl!round: At the direction of the Council, requests to schedule luncheon workshops during Council meetings shall be approved by the Council prior to agendizing the workshop. Caltrans and SANBAG are in the process of performing the final design for the first two segments of the 1-215 project Due to the need to reconstruct several interchange bridges, some east/west City streets will need to be closed during the construction. Additionally, the City has just hired the architectural firm of Richard Pope and Associates to develop an Aesthetic/Landscaping Master Plan for this corridor, which is to be incorporated in the final design by Caltrans/SANBAG. Financial Imnact: The luncheon workshop presentation shall be made at no cost to the City. Recommendation: Set luncheon workshop for October 15, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. in the Economic Development Boardroom for presentation by Caltrans and SANBAG.
