STAFF REPORT
The City has a legal requirement to have an adopted operating budget on July I" of each year
unless there is an authorized continuing appropriation resolution.
The attached resolution will authorize the City to continue operations at the FY 2000-01 level
until the final FY 2001-02 budget is adopted.

RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR-AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO TO CONTINUE EXPENDITURES AT THE FY 2000-01
BUDGETED LEVEL PENDING FINAL APPROVAL OF THE FY 2001-02
BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council, having held budget
hearings on June 6, 2001, June 14,2001, June 21, 2001 and June 26, 2001, desire
to continue 2001-02 fiscal year expenditures for the City of San Bernardino at the
budgeted level for the 2000-01 fiscal year, pending final approval of the FY 2001-
02 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council, hereby authorize the
City of San Bernardino to continue FY 2001-02 expenditures at the budgeted
level for the FY 2000-0 I, pending final approval of the FY 2001-02 budget.
SECTION 2, This Resolution shall take effect upon the date of its
adoption.
